Richard Anzalone, who was charged in the Infinity2Global case, drowned in Hawaii.
Anzalone’s death isn’t very interesting. According to a report from KITV on October 17;
Anzalone, who was 61 years old, came to Oahu from Nevada.
On Friday, October 14, 2022, at 1:51 p.m., paramedics were called to Koolina Lagoon 3 for a person who had drowned and gone into cardiac arrest. The lifeguards found the man not moving or talking.
The DOJ asked for Anzalone’s charges to be dropped on November 23. On November 30, the court threw out the case.
In 2017, Anzalone, who is 61 years old, was charged with Infinity2Global Ponzi fraud.
A few months before the trial, which had been put off for a long time, Anzalone admitted to one count of securities fraud.
The judge was supposed to give Anzalone a sentence back in August. I think that was put on hold until the split Infinity2Global trial was over.
Anzalone will be remembered as a con artist who stole money from people through one Ponzi scheme after another.
The last thing that Anzalone put on his personal Facebook page in December 2016 was a picture of him and Russ Medlin.
The $722 million BitClub Network Ponzi scheme was set up by Medlin.
Medlin was charged with child sex in Indonesia a few months after being charged in the US.
