A second OmegaPro-related website has been placed on France’s fraud blacklist.
The AMF and ACPR have discovered that Omega Pro Ltd. also operates from another French-language website, Businessempire.fr, which promises unrealistic gains (“+300 percent in 16 months”) with a trading service automated on Forex, presented as “a safe haven,” according to a May 19th warning from France’s top financial regulator. The FOREX blacklist has now included the website businessempire.fr.
The AMF has received a statement from the Institut d’Émission d’Outre-Mer (L’IEOM), which states that OmegaPro is being promoted illegally in French Polynesia. In France in 2020, OmegaPro was forbidden. Despite the restrictions, the second greatest source of traffic to OmegaPro’s website is France, according to SimilarWeb.
As of April 2022, France accounts for approximately 9% of OmegaPro website traffic. This represents a 29% increase since March 2022.
The domain “businessempire.fr” was privately registered in October 2021 for the website in question. Business Empire was used to promote OmegaPro’s Ponzi scheme before it was taken down:
The top-of-the-page Facebook link has also been removed. However, the connected YouTube channel is still active (click to enlarge).
On November 10th, 2021, the first video was released to the “OMP Groups” channel. It shows “mira,” an Omega Pro account holder, investing $5000 in the Ponzi scheme.
The video description says: “How to build your money in 2021, dependably and profitably, 100 percent passive and automatic!” “I’m going to show you my $5,000 investment from September 30 in full transparency. I earn 0.51 percent compound interest per day, or $25.69 per day. Without doing anything, I’ve already earned $677.01 in compound interest. On April 21st, 2022, the channel’s most recent video, titled “TRIPLE YOUR INVESTMENT IN LESS THAN 16 MONTHS THANKS TO A UNIQUE SERVICE,” was released:
While the website’s own Facebook page has been removed, there was a link to a Facebook group on the site.
That link takes you to the “Business Empire Témoignages | Solutions Financières” Facebook group, which is still operational but private:
The group currently has 122 members, two of whom are admins: Valerie Bastid and Alexis Muller.
The Business Empire YouTube channel is linked through Valerie Bastid’s Facebook profile.
Bastid appears to be still promoting OmegaPro in France as of May 3rd, in breach of the AMF’s 2020 directive:
Muller, Alexis’ Facebook page indicates that he lives in Tubize, Belgium.
OmegaPro was declared a “fraudulent internet trading platform” by Belgian authorities in May 2021.
Andreas Szakacs (Sweden), Mike Sims (US), and Dilawar Singh (India) lead the OmegaPro MLM trading bot Ponzi (Germany).
All three have relocated to Dubai from their different homelands.
In addition to France and Belgium, regulatory action has been taken by the Congo Republic (several arrests), Spain (two fraud warnings), Mauritius, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua.
